My last few weeks have been full of cultural events in the local area, and a subtitle like “my amazing Saturday nights” could be appropriate. Thanks to friends that introduced myself in the environment, for some years now, and they let me to meet many other interesting people. Hooray! 🙂

Just on Saturday following the occasions of which I told you in my previous post #wingsandblue, that is about 10 days ago, was held in Cherasco the vernissage of Chants and Enchantments, organized by the art gallery Evvivanoé of Sara Merlino, at the wine shop Palazzo Mentone made available by Fabrizio Stecca. I’m back, in a very short time, as promised 🙂

It’s time to tell you about wings.
Con le ali (with wings) is the title of a series of works of Serena de Gier, having, as theme, birds of all varieties, that the young artist, even before on the canvas, portrays almost always with her own hands in photos, by going to the places where you can spot specimens of a particular species.

In September 2013 I had the pleasure of knowing Serena, and discover his work, in the occasion of the opening of the first exhibition dedicated to the series, at the art gallery Evvivanoé in Cherasco (I wrote about in the previous post). Immediately, at first sight, I was fascinated by the subjects and by the interpretation of the artist, who adopts different styles and registers, choosing lighting effects that, personally, I find exciting.

This is something that I thought to do for a long time. That is, in addition to exhibitions of the great masters and historical currents that sometimes I have occasion to visit, I’d like also talk about very good contemporary artists that I have the pleasure of knowing and meeting in person.
I’m back from a Saturday night full of energizing beauty, from which I awoke with enthusiasm and a comfortable sense of harmony, so I think is the right time to introduce this new topic.
For reasons that will be clear soon, the theme of this series of posts will be the #wingsandblue hashtag.
And, for the first time, I’ll try to write all of that in English too.
